Silva Interactive. built Crude Oil Metrics as a professional tool for petroleum field calculations, reporting, and record keeping. This policy explains our privacy practices.

2. Data Collection

Crude Oil Metrics does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All data you enter or import stays exclusively on your device and never leaves it. This includes:

• Tank measurements and gauging calculations
• Saved calculation results and reception records
• Stock reports and stock analysis data
• Hourly load tracking reports, comparisons, and charts
• Blend calculator inputs and results
• Notes
• Saved tanks and tank calibration tables
• Sampling templates and probe calculations
• Documents you import (PDF files and images), including the folders and bookmarks you create to organize them
• Custom locations and salts factors
• Custom calculation alert thresholds
• App settings and preferences (such as theme, language, number and density formats, and backup settings)

No data is ever sent to any server or third party. We do not sell any user data. Android's automatic cloud backup is disabled for this app - your data remains on your device unless you export a backup file, or enable the optional automatic backup feature, both of which save files only to your device.

3. Third-Party Services

This app uses no third-party analytics libraries, advertising networks, or crash reporting tools. It does not declare the INTERNET permission and makes no direct network connections. The app integrates the Google Play App Update API, which communicates with the Play Store through Google Play Services to check whether a newer version of the app is available. This check is handled entirely by Google Play Services and does not involve any personal data or user information. PDF files and images selected by the user are read directly from device storage and copied into the app's private folder. They are never uploaded or shared.

4. Data Storage and Security

All app data is stored locally in the app's private storage area on your device. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted. You may also clear app data at any time via Android Settings - Apps - Crude Oil Metrics - Clear Data.

When you export data (backup files, calculation reports, calibration tables), or use the optional automatic backup feature, files are saved to your device's storage: to the Downloads folder on Android 10 and newer, or to the app's private folder on older versions. The automatic backup feature is disabled by default; when you enable it, the app periodically saves backup files the same way. In all cases these files are saved only to your device and never leave it.

Since no data is collected or transmitted to our servers, there is no user data held by Silva Interactive. that can be requested for deletion.

5. Children's Privacy

This app is a professional tool for the petroleum industry. It is not directed at or designed for children. The app contains no harmful, objectionable, or age-restricted content. Regardless of age, it collects no personal data from any user, so no information is ever collected from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
